Quick Picks from CMCL

As adult summer reading at Cedar mill continues to roll on, I want to look back at an event that I really enjoyed:  Book Spine Poetry.  The idea is to take library books and arrange them so that the titles come together into something meaningful, funny, or somewhere in between.  For example, three titles can become a line like this:

Remember Me

Without Fear

I had an enjoyable time picking out carts of books with fun titles for the event, sometimes finding books already arranged by coincidence.  I often find myself reading the titles in shelf order just to see if the books have anything to say to me.  Here are a few of the poems crafted by the attendees:
